Autoconf:

- On Debian and other platforms, C++ compiler is required because

autoconf macros to detect libtool depend on it. (This is probably
|
|
|
|
an autoconf or libtool m4 macro bug, and the fact that it happens
|
|
|
|
on Debian is a red herring).
