The way the line wrapping was done turns out to be quite undesirable, because it often leaves multiple parameters on the same line. If we later need to add or remove individual parameters, then it leaves us having to redo line wrapping. This commit changes the line wrapping so that every single "-param value" is one its own new line. If the "value" is still too long, then we break on ',' or ':' or ' ' as needed. This means that when we come to add / remove parameters from the test files line, the patch diffs will only ever show a single line added/removed which will greatly simplify review work. qemu: command: Override HOME variable for system QEMU By default, qemu user's home dir points to '/' which shouldn't be used at all. We therefore pass the HOME variable from the current variable iff not running as SUID, which means that for systemd we never set it. qemu: capabilities: Move setting of QEMU_CAPS_MACH_VIRT_GIC_VERSION to virQEMUCapsInitQMPBasicArch Move it under AARCH 64, since it's a platform specific feature, thus it will be removed from all other platforms. Since virQEMUCapsInitQMPBasicArch is used in qemuxml2argv test to initiate qemuCaps for tests with fake capabilities, all the tests gain GIC support now. qemu: Always assume QEMU_CAPS_REALTIME_MLOCK The '-realtime mlock' cmd line argument was introduced in QEMU commit v1.5.0-rc0~190 which matches minimal QEMU version we require. Therefore, the capability will always be present. Apparently, nearly none of our xml2argv test cases had the capability hence slightly bigger change under qemuxml2argvdata/. qemuxml2argvtest: Use internal wrapping of command line arguments virCommandToString has the possibility to return an already wrapped string with better format than what we get from the test wrapper script. The main advantage is that arguments for an option are always on the same line which makes it more easy to see what changed in a diff and prevents re-wrapping of the line if a wrapping point moves over the threshold. Additionally the used output is the same we have in the VM log file when a VM is starting. qemu: Enforce ACPI, UEFI requirements Depending on the architecture, requirements for ACPI and UEFI can be different; more specifically, while on x86 UEFI requires ACPI, on aarch64 it's the other way around. Enforce these requirements when validating the domain, and make the error message more accurate by mentioning that they're not necessarily applicable to all architectures. Several aarch64 test cases had to be tweaked because they would have failed the validation step otherwise.

qemu: Specify format= iff disk source is not empty Just recently, qemu forbade specifying format for sourceless disks (qemu commit 39c4ae941ed992a3bb5). It kind of makes sense. If there's no file to open, why specify its format. Anyway, I have a domain like this: <disk type='file' device='cdrom'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw'/> <target dev='hda' bus='ide'/> <readonly/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='0'/> </disk> and obviously I am unable to start it.
