Allow multiple consoles per virtual guest While Xen only has a single paravirt console, UML, and QEMU both support multiple paravirt consoles. The LXC driver can also be trivially made to support multiple consoles. This patch extends the XML to allow multiple <console> elements in the XML. xml: output memory unit for clarity Make it obvious to 'dumpxml' readers what unit we are using, since our default of KiB for memory (1024) differs from qemu's default of MiB; and differs from our use of bytes for storage. qemu: Support numad numad is an user-level daemon that monitors NUMA topology and processes resource consumption to facilitate good NUMA resource alignment of applications/virtual machines to improve performance and minimize cost of remote memory latencies. It provides a pre-placement advisory interface, so significant processes can be pre-bound to nodes with sufficient available resources. More details: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/numad "numad -w ncpus:memory_amount" is the advisory interface numad provides currently. This patch add the support by introducing a new XML attribute for <vcpu>. e.g. <vcpu placement="auto">4</vcpu> <vcpu placement="static" cpuset="1-10^6">4</vcpu> The returned advisory nodeset from numad will be printed in domain's dumped XML. e.g. <vcpu placement="auto" cpuset="1-10^6">4</vcpu> If placement is "auto", the number of vcpus and the current memory amount specified in domain XML will be used for numad command line (numad uses MB for memory amount): numad -w $num_of_vcpus:$current_memory_amount / 1024 The advisory nodeset returned from numad will be used to set domain process CPU affinity then. (e.g. qemuProcessInitCpuAffinity). If the user specifies both CPU affinity policy (e.g. (<vcpu cpuset="1-10,^7,^8">4</vcpu>) and placement == "auto" the specified CPU affinity will be overridden. Only QEMU/KVM drivers support it now. See docs update in patch for more details.

tests: fix name of 32-bit x86 QEMU binary The 32-bit x86 binary is called qemu-system-i386, not qemu-system-i686. This mistake across many test XML files was not noticed because the mistake was also made in testutilsqemu.c when mocking the capabilities. domain: add implicit USB controller Some tools, such as virt-manager, prefers having the default USB controller explicit in the XML document. This patch makes sure there is one. With this patch, it is now possible to switch from USB1 to USB2 from the release 0.9.1 of virt-manager. Fix tests to pass with this change.

qemu: auto-add pci-root controller for pc machine types <controller type='pci' index='0' model='pci-root'/> is auto-added to pc* machine types. Without this controller PCI bus 0 is not available and no PCI addresses are assigned by default. Since older libvirt supported PCI bus 0 even without this controller, it is removed from the XML when migrating.

device: cleanup input device code The current code was a little bit odd. At first we've removed all possible implicit input devices from domain definition to add them later back if there was any graphics device defined while parsing XML description. That's not all, while formating domain definition to XML description we at first ignore any input devices with bus different to USB and VIRTIO and few lines later we add implicit input devices to XML. This seems to me as a lot of code for nothing. This patch may look to be more complicated than original approach, but this is a preferred way to modify/add driver specific stuff only in those drivers and not deal with them in common parsing/formating functions. The update is to add those implicit input devices into config XML to follow the real HW configuration visible by guest OS. There was also inconsistence between our behavior and QEMU's in the way, that in QEMU there is no way how to disable those implicit input devices for x86 architecture and they are available always, even without graphics device.
