857df2fe50 lib: Drop intermediary return variables
In a few places we declare a variable (which is optionally
followed by a code not touching it) then set the variable to a
value and return the variable immediately. It's obvious that the
variable is needless and the value can be returned directly
instead.

This patch was generated using this semantic patch:

  @@
  type T;
  identifier ret;
  expression E;
  @@
  - T ret;
  ... when != ret
      when strict
  - ret = E;
  - return ret;
  + return E;

After that I fixed couple of formatting issues because coccinelle
formatted some lines differently than our coding style.

c8238579fb lib: Drop internal virXXXPtr typedefs
Historically, we declared pointer type to our types:

  typedef struct _virXXX virXXX;
  typedef virXXX *virXXXPtr;

But usefulness of such declaration is questionable, at best.
Unfortunately, we can't drop every such declaration - we have to
carry some over, because they are part of public API (e.g.
virDomainPtr). But for internal types - we can do drop them and
use what every other C project uses 'virXXX *'.

This change was generated by a very ugly shell script that
generated sed script which was then called over each file in the
repository. For the shell script refer to the cover letter:

77696510e2 tests: switch away from HAVE_SOCKETPAIR
Since the removal of gnulib, HAVE_SOCKETPAIR is no more defined, making
these two tests effectively skipped.

Use the same strategy used in other generic library bits, i.e. exclude
the socketpair usage on Windows.

Semi-related change in virnetdaemontest.c to make it build: since
virutil.h does not include unistd.h anymore, we need to include it.

4597a23f50 util: change identity class attribute names
Remove the "UNIX" tag from the names for user name, group name,
process ID and process time, since these attributes are all usable
for non-UNIX platforms like Windows.

User ID and group ID are left with a "UNIX" tag, since there's no
equivalent on Windows. The closest equivalent concept on Windows,
SID, is a struct containing a number of integer fields, which is
commonly represented in string format instead. This would require
a separate attribute, and is left for a future exercise, since
the daemons are not currently built on Windows anyway.

fde361083d tests: Add lib- prefix to all mocks
In preparation libtool "-module" flag removal, add lib prefix to all
mock shared objects.

While at it, introduce VIR_TEST_MOCK macros that makes path out of mock
name to be used with VIR_TEST_PRELOAD or VIR_TEST_MAIN_PRELOAD. That,
hopefully, improves readability, reduces line length and allows to
tailor VIR_TEST_MOCK for specific platform if it has shared library
suffix different from ".so".

600462834f Remove all Author(s): lines from source file headers
In many files there are header comments that contain an Author:
statement, supposedly reflecting who originally wrote the code.
In a large collaborative project like libvirt, any non-trivial
file will have been modified by a large number of different
contributors. IOW, the Author: comments are quickly out of date,
omitting people who have made significant contribitions.

In some places Author: lines have been added despite the person
merely being responsible for creating the file by moving existing
code out of another file. IOW, the Author: lines give an incorrect
record of authorship.

With this all in mind, the comments are useless as a means to identify
who to talk to about code in a particular file. Contributors will always
be better off using 'git log' and 'git blame' if they need to find the
author of a particular bit of code.

This commit thus deletes all Author: comments from the source and adds
a rule to prevent them reappearing.

The Copyright headers are similarly misleading and inaccurate, however,
we cannot delete these as they have legal meaning, despite being largely
inaccurate. In addition only the copyright holder is permitted to change
their respective copyright statement.

5841d64d25 rpc: virnetserverclient: Identify clients by an integer ID
Admin API needs a way of addressing specific clients. Unlike servers, which we
are happy to address by names both because its name reflects its purpose (to
some extent) and we only have two of them (so far), naming clients doesn't make
any sense, since a) each client is an anonymous, i.e. not recognized after a
disconnect followed by a reconnect, b) we can't predict what kind of requests
it's going to send to daemon, and c) the are loads of them comming and going,
so the only viable option is to use an ID which is of a reasonably wide data
type.
