Added only in drivers that were already calling
virCapabilitiesInitNUMA(). Instead of refactoring all the callers to
behave the same way in case of error, just follow what the callers are
doing for all the functions.

There is no "node driver" as there was before, drivers have to do
their own ACL checking anyway, so they all specify their functions and
nodeinfo is basically just extending conf/capablities. Hence moving
the code to src/conf/ is the right way to go.
Also that way we can de-duplicate some code that is in virsysfs and/or
virhostcpu that got duplicated during the virhostcpu.c split. And
Some cleanup is done throughout the changes, like adding the vir*
prefix etc.

We have couple of functions that operate over NULL terminated
lits of strings. However, our naming sucks:
virStringJoin
virStringFreeList
virStringFreeListCount
virStringArrayHasString
virStringGetFirstWithPrefix
We can do better:
virStringListJoin
virStringListFree
virStringListFreeCount
virStringListHasString
virStringListGetFirstWithPrefix

Commit da665fbd introduced the following condition to virLXCProcessEnsureRootFS
and openvzReadFSConf:
if (!(<some_var> = virDomainFSDefNew()) < 0)
which broke the build on fedora with GCC 5.3.1: "logical not is only applied to
the left hand side of comparison".

Allow to store driver specific data on a per-vcpu basis.
Move of the virDomainDef*Vcpus* functions was necessary as
virDomainXMLOptionPtr was declared below this block and I didn't want to
split the function headers.
I'm tired of mistyping this all the time, so let's do it the same all
the time (similar to how we changed all "Pci" to "PCI" awhile back).
(NB: I've left alone some things in the esx and vbox drivers because
I'm unable to compile them and they weren't obviously *not* a part of
some API. I also didn't change a couple of variables named,
e.g. "somethingIptables", because they were derived from the name of
the "iptables" command)
Nearly all the methods in the nodeinfo file are given a
'const char *sysfs_prefix' parameter to override the
default sysfs path (/sys/devices/system). Every single
caller passes in NULL for this, except one use in the
unit tests. Furthermore this parameter is totally
Linux-specific, when the APIs are intended to be cross
platform portable.
This removes the sysfs_prefix parameter and instead gives
a new method linuxNodeInfoSetSysFSSystemPath for use by
the test suite.
For two of the methods this hardcodes use of the constant
SYSFS_SYSTEM_PATH, since the test suite does not need to
override the path for thos methods.

When parsing the barrier:limit values, use virStringSplitCount in order
to split the pair and make the approriate checks to get the data.

Add the sysfs_prefix argument to the call to allow for setting the
path for tests to something other than SYSFS_CPU_PATH which is a
derivative of SYSFS_SYSTEM_PATH
Use cpupath for nodeCapsInitNUMAFake and remove SYSFS_CPU_PATH
There was a mess in the way how we store unlimited value for memory
limits and how we handled values provided by user. Internally there
were two possible ways how to store unlimited value: as 0 value or as
VIR_DOMAIN_MEMORY_PARAM_UNLIMITED. Because we chose to store memory
limits as unsigned long long, we cannot use -1 to represent unlimited.
It's much easier for us to say that everything greater than
VIR_DOMAIN_MEMORY_PARAM_UNLIMITED means unlimited and leave 0 as valid
value despite that it makes no sense to set limit to 0.
Remove unnecessary function virCompareLimitUlong. The update of test
is to prevent the 0 to be miss-used as unlimited in future.

Add the possibility to have more than one IP address configured for a
domain network interface. IP addresses can also have a prefix to define
the corresponding netmask.
virReportSystemError is reserved for reporting system errors, calling it
with VIR_ERR_* error codes produces error messages that do not make any
sense, such as
internal error: guest failed to start: Kernel doesn't support user
namespace: Link has been severed
We should prohibit wrong usage with a syntax-check rule.

Convert all remaining clients of readdir to use the new
interface, so that we can ensure (unlikely) errors while
reading a directory are reported.
* src/openvz/openvz_conf.c (openvzAssignUUIDs): Use new
interface.
* src/parallels/parallels_storage.c (parallelsFindVolumes)
(parallelsFindVmVolumes): Report readdir failures.
* src/qemu/qemu_driver.c (qemuDomainSnapshotLoad): Ignore readdir
failures.
* src/secret/secret_driver.c (loadSecrets): Likewise.
* src/qemu/qemu_hostdev.c
(qemuHostdevHostSupportsPassthroughVFIO): Report readdir failures.
* src/xen/xen_inotify.c (xenInotifyOpen): Likewise.
* src/xen/xm_internal.c (xenXMConfigCacheRefresh): Likewise.

If there is no error while executing a function "openvzParseBarrierLimit"
a "str" string where is duplicate of a "value" string isn't freed and it
leads into memory leak.
This has been found by coverity.

The individual hypervisor drivers were directly referencing
APIs in src/nodeinfo.c in their virDriverPtr struct. Separate
these methods, so there is always a wrapper in the hypervisor
driver. This allows the unused virConnectPtr args to be
removed from the nodeinfo.c file. Again this will ensure that
ACL checks will only be performed on invocations that are
directly associated with public API usage.

The source code base needs to be adapted as well. Some files
include virutil.h just for the string related functions (here,
the include is substituted to match the new file), some include
virutil.h without any need (here, the include is removed), and
some require both.
Detected by a simple Shell script:
for i in $(git ls-files -- '*.[ch]'); do
awk 'BEGIN {
fail=0
}
/# *include.*\.h/{
match($0, /["<][^">]*[">]/)
arr[substr($0, RSTART+1, RLENGTH-2)]++
}
END {
for (key in arr) {
if (arr[key] > 1) {
fail=1
printf("%d %s\n", arr[key], key)
}
}
if (fail == 1)
exit 1
}' $i
if test $? != 0; then
echo "Duplicate header(s) in $i"
fi
done;
A later patch will add the syntax-check to avoid duplicate
headers.
This patch refactors various places to allow removing of the
defaultConsoleTargetType callback from the virCaps structure.
A new console character device target type is introduced -
VIR_DOMAIN_CHR_CONSOLE_TARGET_TYPE_NONE - to mark that no type was
specified in the XML. This type is at the end converted to the standard
VIR_DOMAIN_CHR_CONSOLE_TARGET_TYPE_SERIAL. Other types that are
different from this default have to be processed separately in the
device post parse callback.
Use the virDomainXMLConf structure to hold this data and tweak the code
to avoid semantic change.
Without configuration the KVM mac prefix is used by default. I chose it
as it's in the privately administered segment so it should be usable for
any purposes.
This gets rid of the parameter in favor of using the new callback
infrastructure to do the same stuff.
This patch implements the domain adjustment callback in the openVZ
driver and moves the check from the parser to a new validation method in
the callback infrastructure.
This patch adds instrumentation that will allow hypervisor drivers to
fill and validate domain and device definitions after parsed by the XML
parser.
With this patch, after the XML is parsed, a callback to the driver is
issued requesting to fill and validate driver specific details of the
configuration. This allows to use sensible defaults and checks on a per
driver basis at the time the XML is parsed.
Two callback pointers are stored in the new virDomainXMLConf object:
* virDomainDeviceDefPostParseCallback (devicesPostParseCallback)
- called for a single device parsed and for every single device in a
domain config. A virDomainDeviceDefPtr is passed along with the
domain definition and virCaps.
* virDomainDefPostParseCallback, (domainPostParseCallback)
- A callback that is meant to process the domain config after it's
parsed. A virDomainDefPtr is passed along with virCaps.
Both types of callbacks support arbitrary opaque data passed for the
callback functions.
Errors may be reported in those callbacks resulting in a XML parsing
failure.
This patch is the result of running:
for i in $(git ls-files | grep -v html | grep -v \.po$ ); do
sed -i -e "s/virDomainXMLConf/virDomainXMLOption/g" -e "s/xmlconf/xmlopt/g" $i
done
and a few manual tweaks.
The virCaps structure gathered a ton of irrelevant data over time that.
The original reason is that it was propagated to the XML parser
functions.
This patch aims to create a new data structure virDomainXMLConf that
will contain immutable data that are used by the XML parser. This will
allow two things we need:
1) Get rid of the stuff from virCaps
2) Allow us to add callbacks to check and add driver specific stuff
after domain XML is parsed.
This first attempt removes pointers to private data allocation functions
to this new structure and update all callers and function that require
them.
