this is the patch to add support for multiple serial ports to the libvirt Xen driver. It support both old style (serial = "pty") and new style (serial = [ "/dev/ttyS0", "/dev/ttyS1" ]) definition and tests for xml2sexpr, sexpr2xml and xmconfig have been added as well. Written and tested on RHEL-5 Xen dom0 and working as designed but the Xen version have to have patch for RHBZ #614004 but this patch is for upstream version of libvirt. LibVirt : simple API for virtualization
Libvirt is a C toolkit to interact with the virtualization capabilities
of recent versions of Linux (and other OSes). It is free software
available under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Virtualization of
the Linux Operating System means the ability to run multiple instances of
Operating Systems concurrently on a single hardware system where the basic
resources are driven by a Linux instance. The library aim at providing
long term stable C API initially for the Xen paravirtualization but
should be able to integrate other virtualization mechanisms if needed.
