If we don't properly clean up all processes in the machine-<vmname>.scope systemd won't remove the cgroup and subsequent vm starts fail with 'CreateMachine: File exists' Additional processes can e.g. be added via echo $PID > /sys/fs/cgroup/systemd/machine.slice/machine-${VMNAME}.scope/tasks but there are other cases like http://bugs.debian.org/761521 Invoke TerminateMachine to be on the safe side since systemd tracks the cgroup anyway. This is a noop if all processes have terminated already. (cherry picked from commit 4882618ed13b469d92fa8b2b4a158fdb17dbe9f1)

LibVirt : simple API for virtualization Libvirt is a C toolkit to interact with the virtualization capabilities of recent versions of Linux (and other OSes). It is free software available under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Virtualization of the Linux Operating System means the ability to run multiple instances of Operating Systems concurrently on a single hardware system where the basic resources are driven by a Linux instance. The library aim at providing long term stable C API initially for the Xen paravirtualization but should be able to integrate other virtualization mechanisms if needed.
