If you've ever tried running a huge page backed guest under different user than in qemu.conf, you probably failed. Problem is even though we have corresponding APIs in the security drivers, there's no implementation and thus we don't relabel the huge page path. But even if we did, so far all of the domains share the same path: /hugepageMount/libvirt/qemu Our only option there would be to set 0777 mode on the qemu dir which is totally unsafe. Therefore, we can create dir on per-domain basis, i.e.: /hugepageMount/libvirt/qemu/domainName and chown domainName dir to the user that domain is configured to run under. LibVirt : simple API for virtualization Libvirt is a C toolkit to interact with the virtualization capabilities of recent versions of Linux (and other OSes). It is free software available under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Virtualization of the Linux Operating System means the ability to run multiple instances of Operating Systems concurrently on a single hardware system where the basic resources are driven by a Linux instance. The library aim at providing long term stable C API initially for the Xen paravirtualization but should be able to integrate other virtualization mechanisms if needed.
