f9f81f1c8f conf: replace VIR_FREE() with g_free() in vir*Free() functions
This patch takes on one set of examples of unnecessary use of
VIR_FREE() when g_free() is adequate - it modifies only vir*Free()
functions within the conf directory that take a single pointer and
free the object pointed to by that argument before returning. The
modification is to replace VIR_FREE() with g_free() for the object
itself *and* for all subordinate chunks of memory pointed to by that
object.

(NB: there are other functions that VIR_FREE subordinate memory of
objects that end up being freed before return (also sometimes with
VIR_FREE); I am purposefully ignoring those to reduce scope and focus
on a sub class where the pointlessness is obvious.)

076591009a conf: fix zPCI address auto-generation on s390
Let us fix the issues with zPCI address validation and auto-generation
on s390.

Currently, there are two issues with handling the ZPCI address
extension. Firstly, when the uid is to be auto-generated with a
specified fid, .i.e.:

    ...
    <address type='pci'>
        <zpci fid='0x0000001f'/>
    </address>
    ...

we expect uid='0x0001' (or the next available uid for the domain).
However, we get a parsing error:

    $ virsh define zpci.xml
error: XML error: Invalid PCI address uid='0x0000', must be > 0x0000
    and <= 0xffff

Secondly, when the uid is specified explicitly with the invalid
numerical value '0x0000', we actually expect the parsing error above.
However, the domain is being defined and the uid value is silently
changed to a valid value.

The first issue is a bug and the second one is undesired behaviour, and
both issues are related to how we (in-band) signal invalid values for
uid and fid. So let's fix the XML parsing to do validation based on what
is actually specified in the XML.

The first issue is also related to the current code behaviour, which
is, if either uid or fid is specified by the user, it is incorrectly
assumed that both uid and fid are specified. This bug is fixed by
identifying when the user specified ZPCI address is incomplete and
auto-generating the missing ZPCI address.

96999404cb Introducing new address type='unassigned' for PCI hostdevs
This patch introduces a new PCI hostdev address type called
'unassigned'. This new type gives users the option to add
PCI hostdevs to the domain XML in an 'unassigned' state, meaning
that the device exists in the domain, is managed by Libvirt
like any regular PCI hostdev, but the guest does not have
access to it.

This adds extra options for managing PCI device binding
inside Libvirt, for example, making all the managed PCI hostdevs
declared in the domain XML to be detached from the host and bind
to the chosen driver and, at the same time, allowing just a
subset of these devices to be usable by the guest.

Next patch will use this new address type in the QEMU driver to
avoid adding unassigned devices to the QEMU launch command line.

9b332820f3 lib: Format PCI address differently
Currently, the way we format PCI address is using printf-s
precision, e.g. "%.4x". This works if we don't want to print any
value outside of bounds (which is usually the case). However,
turns out, PCI domain can be 0x10000 which doesn't work well with
our format strings. However, if we change the format string to
"%04x" then we still pad small values with zeroes but also we are
able to print values that are larger than four digits. In fact,
this format string used by kernel to print a PCI address:

  "%04x:%02x:%02x.%d"

The other three format strings (for bus, device and function) are
changed too, so that we use the same format string as kernel.

600462834f Remove all Author(s): lines from source file headers
In many files there are header comments that contain an Author:
statement, supposedly reflecting who originally wrote the code.
In a large collaborative project like libvirt, any non-trivial
file will have been modified by a large number of different
contributors. IOW, the Author: comments are quickly out of date,
omitting people who have made significant contribitions.

In some places Author: lines have been added despite the person
merely being responsible for creating the file by moving existing
code out of another file. IOW, the Author: lines give an incorrect
record of authorship.

With this all in mind, the comments are useless as a means to identify
who to talk to about code in a particular file. Contributors will always
be better off using 'git log' and 'git blame' if they need to find the
author of a particular bit of code.

This commit thus deletes all Author: comments from the source and adds
a rule to prevent them reappearing.

The Copyright headers are similarly misleading and inaccurate, however,
we cannot delete these as they have legal meaning, despite being largely
inaccurate. In addition only the copyright holder is permitted to change
their respective copyright statement.

f183b87fc1 conf: Allocate/release 'uid' and 'fid' in PCI address
This patch adds new functions for reservation, assignment and release
to handle the uid/fid. If the uid/fid is defined in the domain XML,
they will be reserved directly in the collecting phase. If any of them
is not defined, we will find out an available value for them from the
zPCI address hashtable, and reserve them. For the hotplug case there
might not be a zPCI definition. So allocate and reserve uid/fid the
case. Assign if needed and reserve uid/fid for the defined case.

638c6e5ba5 util: move virInterface(State|Link)/virNetDevFeature from conf to util
These had been declared in conf/device_conf.h, but then used in
util/virnetdev.c, meaning that we had to #include conf/device_conf.h
in virnetdev.c (which we have for a long time said shouldn't be done.

This caused a bigger problem when I tried to #include util/virnetdev.h
in a file in src/conf (which is allowed) - for some reason the
"device_conf.h: File not found" error.

The solution is to move the data types and functions used in util
sources from conf to util. Some names were adjusted during the move
("virInterface" --> "virNetDevIf", and "VIR_INTERFACE" -->
"VIR_NETDEV_IF")

8f578716c7 conf: allow type='pci' addresses with no address attributes specified
Prior to this, <address type='pci'/> wasn't allowed when parsing
(domain+bus+slot+function needed to be a "valid" PCI address, meaning
that at least one of domain/bus/slot had to be non-0), the RNG
required bus to be specified, and if type was set to PCI when
formatting, domain+bus+slot+function would always be output.

This makes all the address attributes optional during parse and RNG
validation, and suppresses domain+bus+slot+function if domain+bus+slot
are all 0 (NB: if d+b+s are all 0, any value for function is
nonsensical as that will never happen in the real world, and after
the next patch we will always assign a real working address to any
empty PCI address before it is ever output to anywhere).

Note that explicitly setting all attributes to 0 is equivalent to
setting none of them, which is okay, since 0000:00:00 is reserved in
any PCI bus setup, and can't be used anyway.

include that in domain_conf.h and add the multifunction member in it.

f8fe8f0345 conf: more useful error message when pci function is out of range
If a pci address had a function number out of range, the error message
would be:

  Insufficient specification for PCI address

which is logged by virDevicePCIAddressParseXML() after
virDevicePCIAddressIsValid returns a failure.

This patch enhances virDevicePCIAddressIsValid() to optionally report
the error itself (since it is the place that decides which part of the
address is "invalid"), and uses that feature when calling from
virDevicePCIAddressParseXML(), so that the error will be more useful,
e.g.:

Invalid PCI address function=0x8, must be <= 7

Previously, virDevicePCIAddressIsValid didn't check for the
theoretical limits of domain or bus, only for slot or function. While
adding log messages, we also correct that ommission. (The RNG for PCI
addresses already enforces this limit, which by the way means that we
can't add any negative tests for this - as far as I know our
domainschematest has no provisions for passing XML that is supposed to
fail).

Note that virDevicePCIAddressIsValid() can only check against the
absolute maximum attribute values for *any* possible PCI controller,
not for the actual maximums of the specific controller that this
device is attaching to; fortunately there is later more specific
validation for guest-side PCI addresses when building the set of
assigned PCI addresses. For host-side PCI addresses (e.g. for
<hostdev> and for network device pools), we rely on the error that
will be logged when it is found that the device doesn't actually
exist.
