5fe0b6b0a7 conf: Add private data for virDomainVcpuDef
Allow to store driver specific data on a per-vcpu basis.

Move of the virDomainDef*Vcpus* functions was necessary as
virDomainXMLOptionPtr was declared below this block and I didn't want to
split the function headers.

9658e70f7d conf/openvz: eliminate incorrect/undocumented use of <source dev='blah'/>
When support for <interface type='ethernet'> was added in commit
9a4b705f back in 2010, it erroneously looked at <source dev='blah'/>
for a user-specified guest-side interface name. This was never
documented though. (that attribute already existed at the time in the
data.ethernet union member of virDomainNetDef, but apparently had no
practical use - it was only used as a storage place for a NetDef's
bridge name during qemuDomainXMLToNative(), but even then that was
never used for anything).

When support for similar guest-side device naming was added to the lxc
driver several years later, it was put in a new subelement <guest
dev='blah'/>.

In the intervening years, since there was no validation that
ethernet.dev was NULL in the other drivers that didn't actually use
it, innocent souls who were adding other features assuming they needed
to account for non-NULL ethernet.dev when really they didn't, so
little bits of the usual pointless cargo-cult code showed up.

This patch not only switches the openvz driver to use the documented
<guest dev='blah'/> notation for naming the guest-side device (just in
case anyone is still using the openvz driver), and logs an error if
anyone tries to set <source dev='blah'/> for a type='ethernet'
interface, it also removes the cargo-cult uses of ethernet.dev and
<source dev='blah'/>, and eliminates if from the RNG and from
virDomainNetDef.

NB: I decided on this course of action after mentioning the
inconsistency here:

  https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2016-May/msg02038.html

and getting encouragement do eliminate it in a later IRC discussion
with danpb.

22a6873a98 global: consistently use IP rather than Ip in identifiers
I'm tired of mistyping this all the time, so let's do it the same all
the time (similar to how we changed all "Pci" to "PCI" awhile back).

(NB: I've left alone some things in the esx and vbox drivers because
I'm unable to compile them and they weren't obviously *not* a part of
some API. I also didn't change a couple of variables named,
e.g. "somethingIptables", because they were derived from the name of
the "iptables" command)

08ea852c25 nodeinfo: remove sysfs_prefix from all methods
Nearly all the methods in the nodeinfo file are given a
'const char *sysfs_prefix' parameter to override the
default sysfs path (/sys/devices/system). Every single
caller passes in NULL for this, except one use in the
unit tests. Furthermore this parameter is totally
Linux-specific, when the APIs are intended to be cross
platform portable.

This removes the sysfs_prefix parameter and instead gives
a new method linuxNodeInfoSetSysFSSystemPath for use by
the test suite.

For two of the methods this hardcodes use of the constant
SYSFS_SYSTEM_PATH, since the test suite does not need to
override the path for thos methods.

b1fc6a7b73 conf: domain: reject name containing '/'
Trying to define a domain name containing an embedded '/'
will immediately fail when trying to write the XML to disk for
our stateful drivers. This patch explicitly rejects names
containing a '/', and provides an xmlopt feature for drivers
to avoid this validation check, which is enabled in every
non-stateful driver that already has xmlopt handling wired up.

(Technically this could reject a previously accepted vmname like
 '/foo', however at least for the qemu driver that falls over
 later when starting qemu)

865764de06 Drop paths.h include
We include the file in plenty of places. This is mostly due to
historical reasons. The only place that needs something from the
header file is storage_backend_fs which opens _PATH_MOUNTED. But
it gets the file included indirectly via mntent.h. At no other
place in our code we need _PATH_.*. Drop the include and
configure check then.

The advantage of this approach is that by default all new features are

declare that a given feature is unsupported.

c99b8cec82 virDomainCreateXML: Make domain definition transient
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=871452

So, you want to create a domain from XML. The domain already
exists in libvirt's database of domains. It's okay, because name
and UUID matches. However, on domain startup, internal
representation of the domain is overwritten with your XML even
though we claim that the XML you've provided is a transient one.
The bug is to be found across nearly all the drivers.
Le sigh.

3e4230d270 conf: Add interface to parse and format memory device information
This patch adds code that parses and formats configuration for memory
devices.

A simple configuration would be:
<memory model='dimm'>
  <target>
    <size unit='KiB'>524287</size>
    <node>0</node>
  </target>
</memory>

A complete configuration of a memory device:
<memory model='dimm'>
  <source>
    <pagesize unit='KiB'>4096</pagesize>
    <nodemask>1-3</nodemask>
  </source>
  <target>
    <size unit='KiB'>524287</size>
    <node>1</node>
  </target>
</memory>

This patch preemptively forbids use of the <memory> device in individual
drivers so the users are warned right away that the device is not
supported.

4f9907cd11 conf: Replace access to def->mem.max_balloon with accessor functions
As there are two possible approaches to define a domain's memory size -
one used with legacy, non-NUMA VMs configured in the <memory> element
and per-node based approach on NUMA machines - the user needs to make
sure that both are specified correctly in the NUMA case.

To avoid this burden on the user I'd like to replace the NUMA case with
automatic totaling of the memory size. To achieve this I need to replace
direct access to the virDomainMemtune's 'max_balloon' field with
two separate getters depending on the desired size.

The two sizes are needed as:
1) Startup memory size doesn't include memory modules in some
hypervisors.
2) After startup these count as the usable memory size.

Note that the comments for the functions are future aware and document
state that will be present after a few later patches.

cf521fc8ba memtune: change the way how we store unlimited value
There was a mess in the way how we store unlimited value for memory
limits and how we handled values provided by user. Internally there
were two possible ways how to store unlimited value: as 0 value or as
VIR_DOMAIN_MEMORY_PARAM_UNLIMITED. Because we chose to store memory
limits as unsigned long long, we cannot use -1 to represent unlimited.
It's much easier for us to say that everything greater than
VIR_DOMAIN_MEMORY_PARAM_UNLIMITED means unlimited and leave 0 as valid
value despite that it makes no sense to set limit to 0.

Remove unnecessary function virCompareLimitUlong. The update of test
is to prevent the 0 to be miss-used as unlimited in future.

55ea7be7d9 Removing probing of secondary drivers
For stateless, client side drivers, it is never correct to
probe for secondary drivers. It is only ever appropriate to
use the secondary driver that is associated with the
hypervisor in question. As a result the ESX & HyperV drivers
have both been forced to do hacks where they register no-op
drivers for the ones they don't implement.

For stateful, server side drivers, we always just want to
use the same built-in shared driver. The exception is
virtualbox which is really a stateless driver and so wants
to use its own server side secondary drivers. To deal with
this virtualbox has to be built as 3 separate loadable
modules to allow registration to work in the right order.

This can all be simplified by introducing a new struct
recording the precise set of secondary drivers each
hypervisor driver wants

struct _virConnectDriver {
    virHypervisorDriverPtr hypervisorDriver;
    virInterfaceDriverPtr interfaceDriver;
    virNetworkDriverPtr networkDriver;
    virNodeDeviceDriverPtr nodeDeviceDriver;
    virNWFilterDriverPtr nwfilterDriver;
    virSecretDriverPtr secretDriver;
    virStorageDriverPtr storageDriver;
};

Instead of registering the hypervisor driver, we now
just register a virConnectDriver instead. This allows
us to remove all probing of secondary drivers. Once we
have chosen the primary driver, we immediately know the
correct secondary drivers to use.

0ecd685109 Give virDomainDef parser & formatter their own flags
The virDomainDefParse* and virDomainDefFormat* methods both
accept the VIR_DOMAIN_XML_* flags defined in the public API,
along with a set of other VIR_DOMAIN_XML_INTERNAL_* flags
defined in domain_conf.c.

This is seriously confusing & error prone for a number of
reasons:

 - VIR_DOMAIN_XML_SECURE, VIR_DOMAIN_XML_MIGRATABLE and
   VIR_DOMAIN_XML_UPDATE_CPU are only relevant for the
   formatting operation
 - Some of the VIR_DOMAIN_XML_INTERNAL_* flags only apply
   to parse or to format, but not both.

This patch cleanly separates out the flags. There are two
distint VIR_DOMAIN_DEF_PARSE_* and VIR_DOMAIN_DEF_FORMAT_*
flags that are used by the corresponding methods. The
VIR_DOMAIN_XML_* flags received via public API calls must
be converted to the VIR_DOMAIN_DEF_FORMAT_* flags where
needed.

The various calls to virDomainDefParse which hardcoded the
use of the VIR_DOMAIN_XML_INACTIVE flag change to use the
VIR_DOMAIN_DEF_PARSE_INACTIVE flag.

e3c626a61d openvz: fixed two memory leaks on migration code
The first one occurs in openvzDomainMigratePrepare3Params() where in
case no remote uri is given, the distant hostname is used. The name is
obtained via virGetHostname() which require callers to free the
returned value.
The second leak lies in openvzDomainMigratePerform3Params(). There's a
virCommand used later. However, at the beginning of the function
virCheckFlags() is called which returns. So the command created was
leaked.

b9dd878ff8 util: make it easier to grab only regular command exit
Auditing all callers of virCommandRun and virCommandWait that
passed a non-NULL pointer for exit status turned up some
interesting observations. Many callers were merely passing
a pointer to avoid the overall command dying, but without
caring what the exit status was - but these callers would
be better off treating a child death by signal as an abnormal
exit. Other callers were actually acting on the status, but
not all of them remembered to filter by WIFEXITED and convert
with WEXITSTATUS; depending on the platform, this can result
in a status being reported as 256 times too big. And among
those that correctly parse the output, it gets rather verbose.
Finally, there were the callers that explicitly checked that
the status was 0, and gave their own message, but with fewer
details than what virCommand gives for free.

So the best idea is to move the complexity out of callers and
into virCommand - by default, we return the actual exit status
already cleaned through WEXITSTATUS and treat signals as a
failed command; but the few callers that care can ask for raw
status and act on it themselves.

d24677090f maint: avoid 'const fooPtr' in domain_conf
'const fooPtr' is the same as 'foo * const' (the pointer won't
change, but it's contents can). But in general, if an interface
is trying to be const-correct, it should be using 'const foo *'
(the pointer is to data that can't be changed).

Fix up offenders in src/conf/domain_conf, and their fallout.

Several things to note: virObjectLock() requires a non-const
argument; if this were C++, we could treat the locking field
as 'mutable' and allow locking an otherwise 'const' object, but
that is a more invasive change, so I instead dropped attempts
to be const-correct on domain lookup. virXMLPropString and
friends require a non-const xmlNodePtr - this is because libxml2
is not a const-correct library. We could make the src/util/virxml
wrappers cast away const, but I figured it was easier to not
try to mark xmlNodePtr as const. Finally, virDomainDeviceDefCopy
was a rather hard conversion - it calls virDomainDeviceDefPostParse,
which in turn in the xen driver was actually modifying the domain
outside of the current device being visited. We should not be
adding a device on the first per-device callback, but waiting until
after all per-device callbacks are complete.

1c6d4ca557 Separate internal node device APIs from public API
The individual hypervisor drivers were directly referencing
APIs in src/nodeinfo.c in their virDriverPtr struct. Separate
these methods, so there is always a wrapper in the hypervisor
driver. This allows the unused virConnectPtr args to be
removed from the nodeinfo.c file. Again this will ensure that
ACL checks will only be performed on invocations that are
directly associated with public API usage.

ead630319d Separate virGetHostname() API contract from driver APIs
Currently the virGetHostname() API has a bogus virConnectPtr
parameter. This is because virtualization drivers directly
reference this API in their virDriverPtr tables, tieing its
API design to the public virConnectGetHostname API design.

This also causes problems for access control checks since
these must only be done for invocations from the public
API, not internal invocation.

Remove the bogus virConnectPtr parameter, and make each
hypervisor driver provide a dedicated function for the
driver API impl. This will allow access control checks
to be easily inserted later.
