The above message looks like we've forgot to print the error message
itself as the line ends after 'error:'. Unfortunately with the current
API design clients have no way of actually getting the error message as
the VIR_DOMAIN_EVENT_ID_BLOCK_JOB(_2) event only reports the status but
not an error and the job then vanishes.
Fix the expectations by using vshPrintExtra instead of vshError:

For long running jobs (save, managed save, dump & live migrate)
virsh runs a background thread for executing the job and then
has the main thread catch Ctrl-C for graceful shutdown, as well
as displaying progress info.
The monitoring code is written using poll, with a pipe used
to get the completion status from the thread. Using a pipe
and poll is problematic for Windows portability. This rewrites
the code to use a GMainLoop instance for monitoring stdin and
doing progress updates. The use of a pipe is entirely eliminated,
instead there is just a shared variable between both threads
containing the job completion status.
No mutex locking is used because the background thread writes
to the variable only when the main loop is still running,
while the foreground thread only reads it after the main loop
has exited.

Some layered products such as oVirt have requested a way to avoid being
blocked by guest agent commands when querying a loaded vm. For example,
many guest agent commands are polled periodically to monitor changes,
and rather than blocking the calling process, they'd prefer to simply
time out when an agent query is taking too long.
This patch adds a way for the user to specify a custom agent timeout
that is applied to all agent commands.
One special case to note here is the 'guest-sync' command. 'guest-sync'
is issued internally prior to calling any other command. (For example,
when libvirt wants to call 'guest-get-fsinfo', we first call
'guest-sync' and then call 'guest-get-fsinfo').
Previously, the 'guest-sync' command used a 5-second timeout
(VIR_DOMAIN_QEMU_AGENT_COMMAND_DEFAULT), whereas the actual command that
followed always blocked indefinitely
(VIR_DOMAIN_QEMU_AGENT_COMMAND_BLOCK). As part of this patch, if a
custom timeout is specified that is shorter than
5 seconds, this new timeout is also used for 'guest-sync'. If there is
no custom timeout or if the custom timeout is longer than 5 seconds, we
will continue to use the 5-second timeout.

turns out, PCI domain can be 0x10000 which doesn't work well with
our format strings. However, if we change the format string to
"%04x" then we still pad small values with zeroes but also we are
able to print values that are larger than four digits. In fact,
this format string used by kernel to print a PCI address:

Introduce a bunch of new virsh commands for managing checkpoints in
isolation. More commands are needed for performing incremental
backups, but these commands were easy to implement by modeling heavily
after virsh-snapshot.c. There is no need for checkpoint-revert or
checkpoint-current since those snapshot APIs have no checkpoint
counterpart. Similarly, it is not necessary to change which
checkpoint is current when redefining from XML, since until we
integrate checkpoints with snapshots, there is only a linear chain
(and you can deduce the current checkpoint by instead using
'checkpoint-list --leaves'). Other aspects of checkpoint-list are
also a bit simpler than the snapshot counterpart, in part because we
don't have to cater to back-compat to older API.
Upcoming patches will test these interfaces once the test driver
supports checkpoints.

When using thin provisioning, management tools need to resize the disk
in certain cases. To avoid having them to poll disk usage introduce an
event which will be fired when a given offset of the storage is written
by the hypervisor. Together with the API which will be added later, it
will allow registering thresholds for given storage backing volumes and
this event will then notify management if the threshold is exceeded.
All options started with underscores, but we switched them to dashes

takes over the execution of the domain, its virtual CPUs are resumed and
the domain enters VIR_DOMAIN_RUNNING_POSTCOPY state and
VIR_DOMAIN_EVENT_RESUMED_POSTCOPY event is emitted.
In case migration fails during post-copy mode and none of the hosts have
complete state of the domain, both domains will remain paused with
VIR_DOMAIN_PAUSED_POSTCOPY_FAILED reason and an upper layer may decide
what to do.

Some hypervisors (namely qemu) can have a separate connecton for
non-shared disks migration of active domains. Currently we have
no means to control the port of such a connection. At the same
time we have options to control port of memory migration traffic
(thru migration uri) as well as interfaces that target server
is bound to for incoming migration (thru VIR_MIGRATE_PARAM_LISTEN_ADDRESS).
Let's add the option for setting disks port too.

The API docs state that the API queries pinning info for all vCPUs and
thus we should allocate the bitmap even for the inactive ones.
The API will currently return bitmap only for the active vCPUs but that
will change in the future.
The VIR_DOMAIN_EVENT_ID_JOB_COMPLETED event will be triggered once a job
(such as migration) finishes and it will contain statistics for the job
as one would get by calling virDomainGetJobStats. Thanks to this event
it is now possible to get statistics of a completed migration of a
transient domain on the source host.

Since we have the macro there's no need for us to unwind it by
hand and check for mutually exclusive flags ourselves.

Rather than setting flags to -1 if none were specified, move the logic
to use the old API to the place where we need to decide. It simplifies
the logic a bit.
Since the code is changing the source image path by modifying the
existing XML snippet the <backingStore> stays in place.
As <backingStore> is relevant to the <source> part of the image, the
update of that part makes the element invalid.
CD/floppy images usually don't have a backing chain and the element is
currently ignored though but it might start being used in the future so
let's start behaving correctly.
Drop the <backingStore> subtree once we want to update the XML.
Before this patch, you'd get:
$ virsh change-media --eject --print-xml 10 hdc
<disk type="file" device="cdrom">
<driver name="qemu" type="qcow2"/>
<backingStore type="file" index="1">
<format type="qcow2"/>
<source file="/var/lib/libvirt/images/vm.1436949097"/>
<backingStore/>
</backingStore>
<target dev="hdc" bus="ide"/>
...
</disk>
After:
$ virsh change-media --eject --print-xml 10 hdc
<disk type="file" device="cdrom">
<driver name="qemu" type="qcow2"/>
<target dev="hdc" bus="ide"/>
...
</disk>
The macro would eat the first parameter. In some cases the format string
for vshPrint was eaten. In other cases the calls referenced variables
which did not exist in the given context. Avoid errors by doing compile
time checking.
After a block job hits 100%, we only need to apply a timeout waiting for
a block job event if exactly one of the BLOCK_JOB or BLOCK_JOB_2
callbacks were able to be registered.
If neither callback could be registered, there's clearly no need for a
timeout.
If both callbacks were registered, then we're guaranteed to eventually
get one of the events. The path being used by virsh must be exactly the
source path or target device in the domain's disk definition, and these
are the respective strings sent back in these two events.
